Orange Line: route and key facts
The Orange Line of Mi Teleférico links Central with Plaza Villarroel in about 12 minutes, with 4 stations over 2.6 km. It opened on 29 September 2017 and can carry up to 3,000 passengers per hour in each direction.
The Orange Line joins Estación Central with Miraflores: it climbs from the center via Armentia and the Avenida Periférica to Plaza Villarroel. It is one of the shortest lines in the network (2.6 km), but also one of the handiest for moving around La Paz without dropping back down into the center.

At Estación Central the Orange Line lets you transfer to the Red Line: it is the point where the system ties the La Paz–El Alto axis to the Miraflores axis.

The Orange Line has 4 stations: Central, Armentia, Periférica, Plaza Villarroel. It runs from Central to Plaza Villarroel and takes about 12 minutes end to end.
End to end (Central – Plaza Villarroel) the ride takes around 12 minutes. Because a cabin leaves every 12 seconds, there is virtually no waiting once you are through the gate.
The same as the rest of the network: Monday to Saturday, 06:00 – 23:00, and Sundays and public holidays, 07:00 – 21:00. Scheduled maintenance can close the line for a few days a year.
The standard fare is Bs 3 (about US$0.45). If this line is a transfer within your trip, you pay Bs 2 extra. The reduced fare is Bs 1.50 plus Bs 1 per transfer. You can pay at the ticket window or with the QR code of the Yala card.
You can change at Central, Plaza Villarroel. The change happens inside the station, but each additional line costs Bs 2 more.
