Services at Teatro al Aire Libre station

Mi Teleférico does not list any facilities for this station on its website. What the whole network does have is ticket windows for buying and topping up cards, and gates that accept the QR code from the Yala app.

Tip

Buy or top up your card before you head to the platform: at peak times the line at the ticket desk is longer than the line to board. With the virtual Yala card you can top up from your phone and go straight through the gate with a QR code, skipping the counter altogether.

Frequently asked questions about Teatro al Aire Libre

Like the rest of the network, Teatro al Aire Libre runs Monday to Sunday from 06:30 to 22:30 and public holidays from 07:00 to 21:00. There are no departure times to catch: cabins run continuously, one every 12 seconds, so there is no “next one” to wait for. See the opening hours page for the full detail.

Teatro al Aire Libre is a station on the Light Blue Line of Mi Teleférico. The line page lists every station on it, along with the running times.

The standard fare is Bs 3 (about US$0.45) for the first line and Bs 2 for each transfer. On the reduced fare — students, people over 60 and passengers with a certified disability — it is Bs 1.50 plus Bs 1 per transfer. You can pay with a physical card or with the QR code of the virtual Yala card; the full breakdown is on the fares page.

Mi Teleférico does not publish station-by-station accessibility information, so we cannot confirm it for this particular stop. Across the network the cabins enter the platform at very low speed and station staff help passengers on board; if you use a wheelchair or a pushchair, tell the staff when you arrive. Passengers with a certified disability travel on the reduced fare.

Yes, but a bicycle pays an extra fare. Bulky luggage is allowed as long as it fits without getting in the way of other passengers, and several stations have bicycle parking. The cabins seat ten and load on the move, so station staff will give you a hand with your bags.
