Ways to pay

Cash

At the station ticket window

You can pay your fare straight at the ticket desk of any station. It is the simplest option if you only ride occasionally — though at rush hour it means queueing.

Physical card

Rechargeable, stored credit

Mi Teleférico sells rechargeable cards at the stations: a standard/family card and a reduced-fare card for accredited students, senior citizens and people with disabilities. The price and the initial credit can change — confirm them at the ticket window.

Yala virtual card

Board with a QR code

The official “Yala Mi Teleférico” app lets you pass the turnstile with a QR code, check your balance and top up with a bank card at any time, without going to the ticket desk.

Reduced fare

Proof required

The 50% reduced fare is for students, adults over 60 and people with disabilities. You must prove your eligibility to get the reduced-fare card.

No. Unlike a metro with an integrated ticket, on Mi Teleférico every additional line is paid for: Bs 2 per transfer on the standard fare and Bs 1 on the reduced fare. The charge is automatic when you pass the turnstile at the interchange station.

Students, adults over 60 and people with disabilities, with accreditation. The reduced fare is Bs 1.50 for the first line and Bs 1 per transfer — half price. You need to show the relevant documents to get the reduced-fare card.

Small children travel with an adult without paying their own fare. Accredited students qualify for the reduced fare. Confirm the current conditions at any station ticket window.

At the ticket window, single fares are paid in cash. With the Yala virtual card you can top up with a debit or credit card from your phone, without queueing at the desk.

Mi Teleférico sells a standard/family card and a reduced-fare card (cheaper, for students, senior citizens and people with disabilities), both with some initial credit included. The price and the initial credit have changed over the years and official sources do not agree, so the safest thing is to confirm them at any station ticket window. The Yala app, by contrast, is free.
